Will no monitor connect to my usb-c port on my laptop? Will I only be able to use a HP single hdmi adapter? Or even better is there some update or something I can instal that might make the existing adapter I have work? I'd love some solutions as I'm used to having 3 monitors at work (different computer), and am struggling with just working with the 1 right now from home. But it beats the 1 I currently have, however before I fork out yet more money on a device that may 50/50 work is there any advice for my issue? For macOS, there are two ways to enable multiple monitor support. I thought perhaps it was the branded device so I did some research and bought another one - the alogic usb-c to duel hdmi adapter and tried again (this one is supposed to be windows compatible) however it is also not working. It did not work - I updated all my softwre, updated drivers, checked the connection, and everything is working fine it just won't detect the monitors when connect through the usb-c port. Detect a display If you connected another display and it isn't showing in Settings, select Start > Settings > System > Display > Multiple displays > Detect. A number appears on the screen of the display it's assigned to. I currently already have one monitor connected through my HDMI port and usb-c was the only available slot. Select Settings > System > Display > Identify. I have bought a comsol usb-c to dual hdmi adapter so I could connect 2 monitors to my laptop.
